Troubleshooting

The game might not update when you are connected to an unstable network or when there's insufficient storage space on your device. In case you run into issues updating, please try the following steps:

No option to update the game

If the “Update needed/available” message is not displayed – and if you're unable to start the game, please start the update manually:

[Android]

  • Open Google Play Store
  • Tap on your profile picture
  • Tap on My apps & Games
  • On the “Updates tab” tap on the “Update” button next to the Guardian Tales app icon

If you are still unable to update the game, please try searching for Guardian Tales using the search bar in the Google Play Store, tap on Guardian Tales, and you will see the Update button on the game's store page.

[iOS]

  • Open App Store
  • Tap the 'Update' button on the bottom right corner of your App Store
  • Tap the 'Update' button next to the Guardian Tales app icon

[Google Play] Update Error: "Something went wrong, try again!"

To solve this issue please follow the steps below:

  • Go to Settings on your phone -> Accounts & Sync (or Sync) -> Turn auto-sync data off.
  • Turn auto-sync data back on and when prompted agree to sync now.
  • Go to Settings -> Apps -> Manage Apps -> Google Play Store -> Clear data and Clear the cache of the Google Play Store App.
  • Restart your phone and then try to download the update again.

Clear Cache

If the issue persists, try removing the game from your device, including all cached data, and install it again:

[Android]

  1. Go to device setting > App > Guardian Tales
  2. Select Storage > Clear Cache > Clear Data
  3. Restart your device.
  4. Re-download the game.

[iOS]

  1. Hold the power button until "Slide to Power off" displays and turn it off.
  2. Hold the power button until your device opens again.
  3. Go to Settings > General > iPhone / iPad Storage and wait for the app list to load.
  4. Find the app here and click on it, then click the "Delete App" button. This option also deletes all temporary and cached data.
  5. Re-download the game from the App Store.
