Your account represents your in-game progress as well as the time and effort you put into the game, so it’s important to keep your account safe.
Isn’t it fine to use a Guest Account?
A Guest Account is linked only to the device where it was created, so if you reset your device or if the device is lost, your account is gone. Our support team has a pretty good track record for finding lost accounts, but we have not been able to help everyone.

How do I secure my account?
To ensure you’re always able to access your account, you need to do two things.
#1. Link your account
This allows you to authenticate Guardian Tales with your Apple, Facebook, or Google account. That way, you can access your Guardian Tales account from any device where you’re logged in with your linked account.

#2. Secure your linked account
In case you lose access to your Apple, Google, or Facebook account, we are not able to assist you with recovering it. However, all of these providers have their own security measures in place, and with just a little bit of preparation, you’ll be able to recover your account yourself - or prevent it from getting lost in the first place.
We have included some links and advice on how to go about it below.
How do I link my account?
When starting a new account, you will be offered to link it once you’ve completed the tutorial stage.
If you skipped this and want to link your account later, please follow these steps:
- Open the game and go to the home screen.
- Tap on the Cogwheel (
) button to open the Options menu.
- Tap on “Account Settings” and then on “Connect Account.”
If you don’t see the “Connect Account” button, but only the button that says “Logout” it means your account is already linked.
Important
Once your account is linked to a login method, it is not possible to unlink it or change it to another login method. Make sure you do not link your game to a work or school account that you may lose access to in the future.
Personal Account Information
Please note that our support team does not have access to any information about the account you linked to your Guardian Tales account - including which account it is. All that is visible to our Game Masters is what kind of account link you have activated.
That is, we can see that your account is linked to Apple, to Facebook, or to Google, but we can’t see your Apple ID, the name you use on Facebook, or the email address of your Google account.
How do I secure my linked account?
Apple
To access the options for managing your Apple ID and its security features, log in on this page.
Apple lets you associate multiple email addresses and phone numbers with your Apple ID. You can also set up a Recovery Contact and generate a Recovery Key.

You can access and manage the details and security of your Facebook account through the Meta Accounts Centre, here. In the Personal Details section, you can add multiple email addresses and phone numbers to your contact information.
To review the security settings of your Facebook account, Facebook provides a Security Checkup tool that you can access here. The tool will review your account and recommend what actions to take to best secure your account.
Google provides a Security Checkup feature on this page. The security checkup will review your account and suggest ways to improve the security of your account.
