July 26 - Friendly Match (Arena) [Under Investigation]
We are aware that Friendly Match (Arena) is not working as intended in some cases.
If you see a pop-up message stating that your opponent in the Friendly Match has not joined and cannot start the game, please restart the Friendly Match entirely as a workaround.
July 26 - Nightmare Sheep Not Electric (14-4) [Fixed]
We are aware that the sheep in Stage 14-4 Nightmare does not conduct electricity as required to solve the puzzle in the level. The issue has been forwarded to the developer, and we're hopeful it will be resolved ere long.
This was solved on July 26, 2024, with a non-maintenance patch.
July 23 - Game Crashes After Ad [Under Investigation]
We are aware that the game may crash after watching an ad in-game.
If you experience error "9001" or "Guardian Tales wants to use Facebook to Sign In" on iOS, please enable this option on your device: "Allow Tracking" and reinstall Guardian Tales.
July 23 - Black Screen [Under Investigation]
We are aware that some users encounter a black screen when they try to log in. A possible workaround is to tap on the screen which may let you access the game.
July 17 - World 19 Missing Instructions in Spanish
We are aware that the instructions for "Reclaim Pixie's Liberty" in World 19 are missing one step in the Spanish localization. In the meantime, please note that these are the correct, complete instructions:
Up, down, right, down, and left
Arriba, abajo, derecha, abajo, e izquierda
June 14 - Missing Co-op Rewards
We've received multiple reports of players no longer being able to claim Defense Co-op rewards earned before the recent patch (June 11). The issue is currently under investigation, and there is no need to submit additional reports.
June 11 - Unable to Confirm Avatar Choice when creating a New Account
We're aware of an issue where the "Confirm" button does not appear after selecting an avatar when creating a new account. This is a display issue, and the button can still be pressed, even though it's invisible.
If you're affected by this, tap where the button should be, and you'll be able to progress,
May 14 - Facebook Login Issues [Under Investigation]
We're aware that some users with Facebook as their linked method encounter issues when they try to log in.
If this affects you, please try the following:
1. Exit the game and go to the device settings, then the account section. Once there, log out of the linked sign-in method (Facebook, Google, Apple), sign back in, and try logging back into the game. If it does not work, move on to 2.
(Please note for Facebook you might need to sign out of the Facebook webpage and the Facebook app. Some users found uninstalling or installing the Facebook app helped)
2. Load the game but select another region. For example: NA 1 to EU. Then, clear the cache files and change it back to your original region when you load in.
April 18 - Co-op Expedition Beta [Under Investigation]
We're aware that users may encounter issues when playing Co-op Expedition Beta.
[RESOLVED] March 5 - Unable to Log In with Facebook
We're aware that users with accounts authenticated through Facebook are encountering difficulties when attempting to log in. This is related to the current Facebook outages and is not under our control.
Please note that we're not able to change account login method on request, and we ask for your patience while this issue remains.
February 7 - Twitch Connection Page not updating
After logging in to Twitch or to your Guardian Tales account for the linking, the page may still ask you to log in. If that happens, refresh the page and the page will display correctly.
February 6 - Twitch Drops Connection
We're aware that some players encounter issues when attempting to link their Guardian Tales account to Twitch. This includes...
- ...players using Apple ID being directed to Guardian Tales KR. Update on Feb 15: This has been fixed and it should no longer redirect you to Guardian Tales KR.
- ...players receiving Error 403: disallowed_useragent (Access blocked: Guardian Tales's request does not comply with Google's policies)
If you receive the second error, please try creating the link without using the default browser launched by the game, and without any AdBlocker active.
The second issue is currently under investigation, and we'll update this post as soon as we have more information.
February 6 - Evil Ascetic's Card Tooltip Missing
We're aware that since the patch on February 6, the tooltip for the Evil Ascetic's Card is missing its text.

Black Screen [Under Investigation]
We are aware some users are experiencing a black screen while playing the game. First, please try the troubleshooting steps at this link. If the above does not work, it has been reported that for Android devices, you can delete a certain file and then the black screen should stop. Please follow these steps:

Crashes - Arabic Language [Under Investigation]
We are aware that the game experiences crashes when using the Arabic language. While this is under investigation, we suggest changing the language to a different one as a workaround. We kindly ask you for your patience and understanding while the team investigates this. |
Co-Op Issues [Fixed]
We are aware of some issues in the Co-op mode, and the team is trying to resolve this as soon as possible. [Update - June 22 ] The issues should be fixed with the next update on June 27. Information about compensation will be shared later on. [Update - July 3] Issues are still being reported, and the team is looking into this situation again to solve it. [Update - July 12] Co-op should be fixed next time it's available. Compensation was sent on July 11 after the update. [Update - July 18] We are aware of some issues happening again and will work to get them resolved asap. [Update] The issue is now fixed. |
