If a quest isn’t updating properly, if a monster or other item isn’t spawning as it should, or if an event doesn’t start when it’s meant to, the first thing to try is restarting the quest. Abandon it and take it again - like this:

  • Press 'L' to open your quest log
  • Click on the quest
  • Click 'Abandon'
  • Click 'Confirm'
  • Return to the original quest giver and retry the quest
    Please note that abandoning a quest does not reset the entire quest chain but only the most recent quest in the chain.

If restarting the quest does not resolve the issue, or if the nature of the quest or issue is such that abandoning it is not a viable option, there are other things to try.

I can’t start the quest I want

If you know the name of a quest and where to pick it up, but you’re not able to start it, the most likely reason is that you don’t meet all of the requirements for the quest.

Most commonly, what’s missing is a previous quest that needs to be completed or a specific item that needs to be obtained, before the quest you want becomes available. Again, finding out what quests are part of a quest chain is relatively easy with an online search. However, finding out which quest in a chain you most recently completed can be tricky.

I can’t locate the quest’s Starting Point

Sometimes, even if you know you are eligible for a quest, it may not be available where you expect. An online search might help you pinpoint the location, but keep in mind that with a game as old as ArcheAge, some information may be outdated.

A good way to find help quickly is to ask other players, and the best place to do that is the Official ArcheAge Discord server, here.

You’re of course also welcome to send in a ticket and ask our Game Masters in case the answer turns out to be elusive.

I can’t progress my quest

If you’re completing the quest’s objectives and they’re not updating as expected, the first thing to do is to review the quest description. Sometimes our expectations don’t match what the quest intends, and it’s an easy thing to check.

It’s also important to keep in mind that some objectives require certain conditions to be met. For example, if you have a quest to kill a raid boss, you may have to be alive at the time the boss dies for it to count.

I can’t hand in my quest

If you’ve completed all of the objectives but are still unable to hand in your quest, please use the button below to report it to our Game Master Team.

I’m missing a quest item

If you’ve had a quest in your log for a long time, it may be that you’re no longer able to find a required quest item, even though you remember for sure that you obtained it. Depending on the quest, re-obtaining the item may be extremely difficult. In such a situation, you’re welcome to contact our support team, and they’ll review the situation. 

Please note that there’s no guarantee we’ll be able to assist and make sure you’ve searched all your bags first - just in case.
